 Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct describes how we intend to operate and conduct ourselves on a day-to-day basis, as we pursue our goals. This Code of Conduct applies to all our factories, subsidiaries or business units, herein referred to as "Business Units".

While we recognize that there are different legal and cultural environments in different regions in which our business units operate, this Code sets forth the basic requirements.

General Principle
Each Business Unit shall operate in full compliance with the laws of their respective countries and with all other applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those relating to labor, worker health and safety, and the environment.
National Interest

Each Business Unit shall conduct its business affairs in accordance with the economic, development and foreign policies, objectives and priorities of the nation's government and shall strive to make a positive contribution to the achievement of such goals at the international, national and regional level as appropriate.

Each Business Unit shall operate in full compliance with the laws of their respective countries and with all other applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those relating to labor, worker health and safety, and the environment.

Corporate Citizenship

Each Business Unit shall be committed to be a good corporate citizen not only in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations but also by actively assisting in the improvement of the quality of life of the people in the communities in which it operates with the objective of making them self-reliant. Such social responsibility would comprise: to initiate and support community initiatives in the field of community health and family welfare, contributing talent, time and financial support to worthwhile community projects, schools, charitable organizations and service groups.

Health, Safety and Environment

Each Business Unit shall strive to provide a safe and healthy working environment and comply, in the conduct of its business affairs, with all regulations regarding the preservation of the environment of the territory it operates in. Each Business Unit shall be committed to prevent the wasteful use of natural resources and minimize any hazardous impact of the development, production, use and disposal of any of its products and services on the ecological environment.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Each Business Unit shall provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other status protected under applicable federal, state or local laws. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment including, but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.

Sexual and other harassment

Each Business Unit shall be committed to providing a professional work environment. We expect the workplace to be free from verbal and nonverbal harassment based on any legally protected characteristic. These protected characteristics may include, but are not limited to, an individual's gender, race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, religion, age, ancestry, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status or use of family or medical leave or workers' compensation benefits.

Each Business Unit shall not tolerate harassment of company employees by anyone, including any supervisor, coworker, vendor, client or customer of the company.

Each Business Unit shall employ only workers who meet the applicable minimum legal age requirement or are at least 14 years of age, whichever is greater. It must also comply with all applicable child labor laws, including those related to hiring, wages, hours worked, overtime and working conditions. Each Business Unit shall maintain official documentation for every worker that verifies the worker's date of birth.

Wages & Hours

Each Business Unit shall set working hours, wages and overtime pay in compliance with all applicable laws. Workers shall be paid at least the minimum legal wage or a wage that meets local industry standards, whichever is greater. Each Business Unit shall pay overtime and any incentive (or piece) rates that meet all legal requirements or the local industry standard, whichever is greater.

Working Conditions

Business Units shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding working conditions and shall not use corporal punishment or any other form of physical or psychological coercion. Each Business Unit shall be sufficiently lighted and ventilated, aisles accessible, machinery maintained, and hazardous materials sensibly stored and disposed of.

Gifts and Entertainment

Each Business Unit and its employees shall neither receive nor offer or make, directly or indirectly, any illegal payments, remuneration, gifts, donations or comparable benefits that are intended to, or perceived to obtain business or uncompetitive favors for the conduct of its business. However, a Business Unit and its employees may accept and offer nominal gifts which are customarily given and are of commemorative nature for special events.

Financial Reporting and Standards

Each Business Unit shall prepare and maintain its accounts fairly and accurately in accordance with the accounting and financial reporting standards that represent the generally accepted guidelines, principles, standards, laws and regulations of the country in which the company conducts its business affairs.
